Abstract

We present a simple route to prepare strontium-doped lanthanum cobaltites, La0.7Sr0.3CoO3 (LSCO), from an aqueous precursor solution. This method uses metal acetates and are complexed by an organic ligand with strong electron donating functionalities. This method allows us to eliminate the need to perform a mechanical milling step that is usually done in conventional solid state reaction method and reduce its processing temperature. X-ray diffraction was used as a tool to determine the amount of LSCO phases in our samples. The result shows that the powder prepared using this simple route produces LSCO-dominant powders.
