Mathematical aspects of the Weyl-Wigner transform and time

Abstract

This paper discusses the quantization of time of arrival of both the free and confined particle on the real line via Weyl quantization. Our contribution is the Weyl quantization of the appropriate coadjoint orbits of a Lie group that will give the time of arrival operators for the free and confined particles.
