Stieltjes integral for large parameter

Abstract

The Stieltjes integral for large parameter is evaluated using finite part integration of divergent integrals. The result is compared to that using distributional approach for asymptotic integrals. It was shown that the method of finite part integration of divergent integrals is able to reproduce the result of distributional approach in evaluating the Stieltjes integral.
