Abstract

Fe doped ZnO was successfuly fabricated using carbothermal reduction method. Doping ZnO with Fe leads to improved crystallinity as revealed by the XRD spectra. Furthermore, as Fe concentration enhanced, the peak intensity of UV emission increases, whereas the visible emission intensity decreases. Doping ZnO with Fe offers an effective method to produce better quality UV emitting ZnO microstructures for optoelectronic applications.
