Editorial — Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas: An organization of physicists and physics educators

Abstract

One of the objectives of the Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas (SPP) is the "establishment of a strong national union and community of physicists and physics educators" [Section 2, Article II, 2004 SPP Constitution]. Its Committee of Physics Education is responsible for "making surveys, studies, and recommendations regarding the conditions, problems, and needs of physics education in the Philippines" and it can design and implement activities to address such needs and problems directly [Section 7, Article VIII, 2004 SPP Constitution].
