Abstract

Fringe projection is applied to the Angono Petroglyphs – centuries old rock art carved on the face of an overhang rock wall in Angono. This technique creates a 3D rendering of the carvings, a digital plaster cast, to enable archeologists to closely study fine features such as chisel marks even off-site. Phase-to-height calibration for test objects shows good accuracy and may allow depth measurements of chisel marks for the purpose of non-destructive dating.
