Abstract

We report the direct effects of broadband and monochromatic (594nm, 632nm) light sources on the growth of yeast cells. The growth of the cells were: slower by 40% under white light, strongly inhibited after 1hr under 5.82mW 632.8nm laser, and minimally (10%) disturbed under 3.82mW 594.0nm laser.
