Abstract

We construct an adaptive optical set-up for the detection and correction of Bessel beam aberrations. The Bessel beam is generated by encoding a conical phase to a phase-only spatial light modulator (SLM). The generated beams are imaged using a closed loop system composed of a charge couple device (CCD) camera and computer. The aberration is then calculated and an appropriate correction is encoded into the SLM. Depth of field (DOF) measurements and curve fits show the generation and recovery of the desired bessel beams.
