Abstract

In this research, three-dimensional (3D) models composed of a 3D view and volume measurement are reconstructed using three different methods – Direct Fourier Reconstruction (DFR), Fringe Projection Profilometry (FPP), and a combination of both. These methods are implemented in both ANSI C and NI LabVIEW for which a set of images of the object are required. Results show that using the contour map from the fringe projection technique as input to the Direct Fourier reconstruction algorithm extends the capability of DFR in reconstructing objects with prints.
