Abstract

We report, for the first time to the best of our knowledge, a surprisingly simple, low-cost and low-complexity electronic analogue of the phenomenon known as Relativistic Aberration of Light (RAL) in Special Relativity (SR) by using an operational amplifier (OP-AMP)-based All-Pass Filter (APF) circuit. We show by experimental results as well as simulation results, using both analytical model and commercial software, that the phase response of the APF circuit describes the behavior of RAL. The full characteristics of the RAL are presented. This work opens doors for other SR phenomena to be investigated with electronic analogue circuits.
