Abstract

The set of entangled noisy mixtures of mutually orthogonal N-qudit maximally entangled pure states, characterized by some noise parameter, was studied by employing the purity-based separability criterion. Given the number of dimensions and the number of mutually orthogonal pure states to be mixed with the maximally mixed state, a condition for the noise parameter was found so that the entanglement within the resulting noisy mixture is maintained. The size of the set of entangled noisy mixtures of interest, for varying noise parameter, was also studied.
