The Baute quantum Time-of-Arrival distribution for the harmonic oscillator potential

Abstract

The time-of-arrival probability distribution for a quantum particle interacting with a harmonic oscillator potential is examined by utilizing the crossing states proposed by Baute et al. [1]. This is done for the case of a Gaussian wave packet and the resulting properties of its distribution are analyzed and compared with that of its classical counterpart.
