Robustness of diffusionless Lorenz equation under Gaussian noise

Abstract

We numerically investigate the effect of adding directional Gaussian noise to the Diffusionless Lorenz Equation (DLE). It was observed that the DLE system is robust from the injection of Gaussian noise along specific directions.  The first and third Lyapunov exponent of the DLE was found to be robust until noise strength of 4 indicating regions of stability while the second Lyapunov exponent gradually increases with the noise strength affirming to the chaotic nature of the system.
